Question about lighting regulation....

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Depends on your state codes. I would check with where you live. Each state, county and country has different rules and regs. 8000K is legal where I live, so is tint.

Ok. Thanx!! By the way, do you know where is the day time running light on EX35? I checked the manual, but didn't find it. I only see "Clearance light" #1 .... is that the DTRL???? (Please check the picture)

And DTRL only will be on when the car is moving? When I park the car (P), I don't see it on...

As far as I know, your DRL are #6, so- called fog lights. They are the one going on as soon as you turn on the engine. Hope its helped.

Yes, 6 or fog light is functioning as DRL.

DRL module for Canadian model produces full power for DRL, you won't need to bypass for HID foglight.

As for the regulation, any aftermarket HID installed on car is illegal. However, there are more cars with HID as standard or optional from factory, don't need to worry about it.

DRL is working during day time, which means it's almost impossible to tell the color temp with bare eyes. With a projector, color temp tends to look higher. (6000k with projector is bluer than 6000k w/o projector)

I've been using HID-DRL for over an year, had no problem so far.

Hope it helps.
