I purchased a turbo kit from off this forum not to long ago and started to get things on the car. I was wondering would it be a waste of time to pull the motor out clean the block and bay becasue the crank seal made a mess? I would pull it out replace the crank and rear main seals put on the oil pans take off ac lines replace belts etc. The transmission is already off and I feel like i am almost there because I had to break it loose to remove the oil pan. If taking it out is a good idea would I bolt on the transmission to the motor and just drop it back in?

Let me know what you guys think

Pull it, clean it and inspect everything while its out. No better time then right now IMO.

probably a good idea just to take the motor out it will help make bolting up fit easier and it would probably be a good idea to degrease the block just to give you a little better visual appeal and to help out with cooling

I would definatly suggest pulling the engine, seeings as everything is torn apart anyways.. you can get a new clutch installed VERY quickly while its out.. Then get everything cleaned, and put new front / rear main seals on, replace the intake manifold gaskets (cause it will save you in the end) replace any cracked broken hoses... and you will have a leak free engine!!!
