question about JWT intake..

i bought the car and it came with a jwt intake, i assume its the jwt pop charger as they call it on the site

now im wondering, what is this resistor and extra connector with the MAF?

Compared your pic to my 1991.

If Nissan didn't change anything, then you do not have a stock MAF and that connector has been modified for use on the MAF that is currently in your car.Do a search on "hacked MAF", it might turn up something.

that is NOT the stock air meter. check with the previous owner about wtf is going on. autozome has new ones for like 400 bucks. i've seen them on the net for as low as 180.

What the hell, guys...

The car pictured is a '95.

That's a stock '95 MAF.

The extra part is the intake air temp sensor...you can just tuck it away somewhere near the filter, or pop it in the end of the filter, either way (does the filter not have a port for it on top?).

And it's 2.453" inner diameter...hehe. (seriously)

oh sweet, thanks for clearing that up :D

so its prolly stock, and dirty, i can use carb cleaner to clean it right? or should i get some electronics cleaner (non-residue) from schucks instead?

Don't use carb cleaner on your MAF sensor, use brake parts cleaner.

Carb / TB cleaner leaves a greasy residue.

yea thanks, today i went and got some residueless electronics cleaner from radioshack .. 11 bucks :|

used that, seems fine
