I need to know which is better--Stillen or HKS Side mount intercoolers or the large front intercoolers for a 300zx with GT525R (Sport 500's) or GT600R (Sport 600) turbos. I currenty have stock turbos w/max boost at 16psi and 385. Looking to boost to 450-500hp level.

for those kinds of numbers.. a front mount is definitely your best option

^ that is incorrect

Either of those two would be fine, with the stillen units being good for a little more HP because they are larger units. Also look into the ARC sidemounts.

One of the reasons I ask is b/c Stillen claims there side mounts are the largest available for the Z. Stillen does not appear to sell FMIC---so I was not sure if their claim was the "largest" they have and sell or if it concluded that its SMIC's offer more frontal space than any FMIC (especialy since FMIC appear to have obstructions, i.e., the bumper and bumper lip, etc.?
