So I was attempting to install the crank sprocket tongiht. First I pressed the woodruff key into the slot on the nose of the crankshaft. Then I slid the first plate on. Then I put the sprocket itself on. Now my question is, I pressed the sprocket on as far as it would go, but the plate behind it just rattles around. Is that how its supposed to be?

shouldn't rattle around, but youcan try installing the crank pullyand using that to push it on.

you mightwant to reinstall with some antiseize too, both to help install and remove later.

Make sure you orient them like as shown here.

Actually, shouldn't rattle but the key might not lock it in place. But it shouldnt have the room front to back to rattle that way..

I got it on now. I had to use a little sandpaper on the nose of the crank. After that, and a little antiseize, it slid right on.
