You will need a JGS log mani kit and mount the flange towards the front of the log and angle it towards the strut tower. Don't even think about using a revhard/ebay cast mani. It will hit the BMC and you will have to cut a hole in your hood.

on another note, the housings are large but the wheels are small conpared to the outside dimensions. It has a 56mm compressor wheel(gt30R is 57mm for reference) and with the 9cm2 hot side it will spool about like a 3071R with a .63ar housing(that means quick as s*** on a ka). The compressor is rated at 52lb/min but with that small hot side you won't see much past 400whp on a stock KA head.

15psi = 325-330whp and 350wtq with a good tune

20-22psi she will break 400whp and 400wtq and do it early in the graph :naughty:

yea i figured to use a log mani :D i just didn't want it to take up too much room (manifold)

btw

Wheel dimensions.

Compressor
EX 3.38 ~85-86mm
IND 2.37 ~60mm

Turbine
EX 2.755 ~70mm
IND 2.357 ~60mm

the basically a hx40/35 hybrid with vgt :) i was so close to selling it too....

*edit the compressor is rated @ 67lbs per min:)

Image

its a t3-to-t3 with a 38mm waste gate flange sandwiched between it:P

Manifold will probably need some bracing in that position and make sure the down pipe has a flex pipe welded in. If supported correctly that should work pretty well actually. Those manifolds are cheap as hell, so buy 2 and replace it when it cracks every few months...lol.

I would weld a T3 flange right ontop of the T2 flange. Then port the T2 flange out so you don't have that restriction.

Maybe run a threaded rod from the motor mount to the bottom of the manifold so it would be fully supported and easily adjustable.

cx racing just came out with a manifold that looks just like that but it is already braced and has a wastegate flange and they are only 260 shipped on ebay.... that might save you some time/money.... i've been thinking about one of those...

I was wondering when they were going to start selling that manifold by itself. It's been available in the kit for awhile now.

Ugh still round holes. With all those project cars they have you'd think they would develop something that matches the head for them a little better :tisk: . And on my bottom mount by the time I ported them out to get even close to gasket matching I had to add more weld to it all for some peace of mind; gets pretty thin.

Yeah, I've had that thought for years now. You're not going to gasket match anything from China. JGS is also round...maybe we should round out the head...lol.
