all walbro pumps need an afpr to bring the pressure back to spec...that being said just about any aftermarket fuel pump will overrun the stock regulator and your pressure will be much higher than spec.

Just playing Devil's advocate, the aussie guys say they use the stock FPR's well into the 600hp range with no problems. The aussies spread around a lot of bulls*** info though, so take it for what it's worth.

That being said, I have run one ever since I put a walbro in for the same reasons Carl H mentioned. I've never seen anybody run an aftermarket pump with a stock FPR though, so I can't say I've seen it have increased pressure first hand. Aeromotive FPR will flow 1000hp worth of fuel and costs $150, so what's the price for one in the scheem of things.

Believe it or not, but I'm still using the stock FPR on my setup. My fuel mods are only larger injectors and a Denso Supra TT fuel pump. The base fuel pressure is still 43 psi like stock.

the supra pump will not overrun the stock regulator like most aftermarket pumps as it is designed to work with a standard fpr as equiped on the supra.
