Im about to buy a Garret T3, turbo manifold, a/f controller, boost controller, and side mount for about 550 from a friend of mine. I plan on running stock internals. The motor has been rebuilt and has about 75,000 miles on it. My question is what size injectors and what fuel pump is good for this. I dont plan on running that high of boost b/c Im not trying to see my pistons on the road. I figure that 8 should be good enough. My main concern is fuel delivery, are stock injectors ok? I know the pump has to go. thanx

somne 370cc injectors or above should be sufficient...and a walbro 255 L/Hr fuel pump....especially if you have a A/F controller...

or you could run an fmu. that would make it a little easier for you since fuel will only be added when you boost. do you plan on tuning the a/f controller on a dyno or do you have a wideband to use?

now you have me confused. do you mean you have a wideband system, which tells you your exact air/fuel ratio? you dont "controll" a wideband you read it. an a/f controller to me is a tunning device like the apexi safc, greddy emanage, etc. if you have a wideband system great! the best ting for you for now is probably to get an fmu (8:1) will be good. get the car running and work out any bugs. learn what air/fuel ratios are good. then get an a/f controller and do some tunning. then get bigger injectors if you want

Ok cool, thanx. I got one more question for you. I dont plan on putting internals in. I want to put a cam in b/c its SOHC, but is 8 psi ok for boost?

Ok cool thanx man. Yeah I dont have a lot of on hands work, most of my knowledge comes from reading. I was wondering if its cool to run 8psi is that good enough?

as long as you have the tunning somewhat right 8psi will be no problem. people have run 16psi on stock internals because they have it tunned right. you will be fine with 8psi for a long time. just get more fuel and retard base timing a couple degrees and you will be fine

Ok cool. Im only going to get the turbo and the manifold from the kid. My buddy Matt has a side mount he said he will give me. That should be good enough. I need to find a boost controller and a a/f controller though. Would you happen to have a used one lying around or anything?

you dont NEED to find a boost controller right away. just get it running off the stock wastegate setting, then look for a boost controller. right now im using a joe p manual boost controller set at 14psi. its great and was only $45 shipped. you can also get it as an electronic BC.

for an a/f controller the apexi safc is cheap and easy to use. jsut look around on the forums for someone selling one or ebay. i got mine for like $175 shpped.

i would also suggest getting a wideband system. http://www.streetrays.com (nico sponsor) carries the plx m-300, which i use. its only $320 shipped and has a great display. this may seem like alot but so does a blown engine if you are running lean

Ok I will see what I can find. I asked a buddy of mine that owns a shop and he said he will try to hook me up with something. Thanx a lot man.
