I have a 93 Maxima VG30E. I went to the junkyard to get fuel injectors and I got them from a 92 thinking they would fit and they didnt. The connectors were different. If I cut off the connectors from the injectors on my car and spliced them onto the injectors from the 92 maxima would that work?

The problem is you don't even know if the injectors from the 92 car are working. Try to contact "deatschwerks" below. They may be able to hel[p you.

If the connectors are different, I would imagine your '93 injectors are Phase II and the '92 injectors are Phase I.

I wouldn't advise going from Phase II to Phase I, though. The Phase II are a better injector and have proven to be more reliable than the Phase I.

I have 03 Maxima 3.5 SE. The car currently has 73000 miles and it's eating gas like "CRAZY." The car is in good running condition, but within the last two days it's been pinging and eating gas. I took the car into Nissan and the service man informed that my gas was running lean. In addition, he also mentioned a code P0345 which I found out is Camshaft Position Sensor and I replaced myself. The service also mentioned it could be a variety of issues concerning the fuel sytem and suggested I run another diagnostic for 300 dollars.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this problem?

What is the $300 diagnostics? What is it supposed to do?

I would first get a OBD-II live data monitor and check your sensor data. Fuel is controlled by the ECU so maybe it's a sensor problem. Maybe the fuel lines/filter/injectors are clogged and you can check the fuel pressure.

i didnt know the VG could have different injectors. if i were you, i would not f*** with injectors that dont match. i had ONE turbo injector and it jacked up my whole fuel rail. i took my DMM to the junk yard before i purchased the injectors and i only bought the ones that were for my car.
