I am trying to figure out why I have the gap between the hood and headlights. Other cars with the kouki front end the hood sits flush on the lights. My car is a 95 with front end conversion. All parts are oem nissan except the hood which is VIS, so all good quality. Why is there such a huge gap??

is that hood carbon fiber? if so, it might be those rubber stoppers that keep the oem hood flush. With the oem hood, i would think that because it is naturally heavy, it would compress those rubber pieces to a certain extent, creating the flushness. With carbon fiber, I would think that because its lighter, it doesn't exert the same force on those rubber pieces, thus not allowing them to compress as much. With that, the hood would sit higher. (I have no idea if this is correct, but it's just something I thought of.)

i think you just need to adjust the hood better. it looks like the hood doesnt line up with the fenders either. I took up the 3 or 4 hours adjusting mine. carbon fiber hoods aren't like OEM fitment. i have a seibon hood on mine.

Check if your hood is hitting the rubber stoppers, if they aren't, then move your hood latch down a bit so the hood sits down lower.

Also, the stock hood has a rubber weather seal that sits in that gap... it wouldn't fix your problem but it would help.
