try wiping them with acetone... it dissolves a small amount of the rubber and you can wipe it off. mine were yellowed with age- they look like new now. work quickly because acetone evaporates immediately
hmm ok, could i use nail polish remover?, and also couldnt i damage the paint around it with this? im thinking of putting it on like a q-tip and then wiping hard with a rag?
yeah man nail polish remover is acetone... lacquer thinner would prolly work too. In either case its likely a good idea to avoid getting solvents like that on the paint- although your clear coat is pretty resistant to most chemicals.
