Question about Exedy Hyper single clutch replacement...

Hey guys my buddies clutch is going out on his SR. Hes got the Exedy Hyper single clutch and flywheel. Does anyone know if another brand clutch will bolt onto the Exedy flywheel? I would think it would but you never know maybe exedy designed this flywheel to work only with their clutches?? Thanks

I wouldn't risk it.

Why are you trying to mix and match parts? If the clutch is going out, the only thing you need to replace is the disk, and get the flywheel and pressure plate lightly resurfaced.

If you're too poor/cheap to pay someone to resurface, use 80 grit sandpaper on an orbital sander, and a steady hand. Don't sand the metal heavily, just scuff off any deposited pad materal

I would just buy the disk but this one only lasted 10-15K miles. Id like to maybe step it down a notch and get one that will last longer, maybe a spec stage 2 or something. Thanks
