So my car right now is up on two wheels and im changing my steering rack bushings now before i drop the motor in to make my life easyer. I took the brackets off and im about to take out the passenger side bushing to replace it, then i notice

why is there two passenger side bushings? Obviously one is thicker than the other, but is there a reason for using one or the other?

I would guess to use the thicker one since the drivers side is the same thickness, but if you google "240sx energy steering rack bushings" on google, you see them just in a pair, with the drivers side, and the thinner of the two passenger bushings, and ive also noticed on the writeup on here that he chose the thinner of the two as well...

can anyone help me out here?

Mine just came yesterday... I am interested to know the answer to this as well!

EDIT: I just read on another forum that they supply the bushing for the S14 and S13- so you use the one you need and do not use the other one. I'm not sure which one is the S13 one, though.

actually i did and the paper that comes with it only has 3 model numbers, and say one of them is drivers bushing and the two others are passenger bushings, but it doesnt tell you for which chassis or anything

I cant tell by the pics, but do the bushings have a cut in them to aid in getting them arround the rack?

I gotta check the how to's but they circle the rack, so do you need to disconnect the tie rods and slide them around the rack that way?

The ones I bought from SPLparts were cut so you can just slip in them without sliding them in from the tierod.

The Energy Suspension ones in the picture doesn't seem to be like that, weird. Since the OEM ones are cut as well.

Good to know, I think I rather not pull the tie rods.

the energy ones i got DO have a cut in them. The skinnier one definitley went on a lot easyer but i couldnt get the drivers side (fat as well) bushing on, so if i can get that lined up, im going to go back and try to put the fat passenger bushing in place
