Hey fellas,

my 240sx is my beater, some of you may cringe at reading that but it is. and a darn good one at that!

Its a base model coupe, no HICAS or anything. But the winter conditions it sees are very, very cold. Very.

To the point that if I start her up and first go to put her in gear the stick shift is a little stiff - thats no big deal. But even once you try to start moving she'll come to a stop on her own with the clutch all the way in.

Should I be looking at getting a different type of rear diff fluid put in her? I was thinking of just getting it replaced with whatever is the factory spec, because whats in there is pretty old. (also it does see some warmer weather duties)

thnx,

lbrowne

you can use synthetic, just not mobil 1 synthetic gear oil... look @ the 1st thread from that link i just posted... transmission can be regular or synthetic oil, just has to be GL-4 classified...
