Post

Hello everyone,
I'm going to install a custom exhaust tomorrow for my altima coupe 2010 2.5
I have no idea about this kind of exhaust
All I want is an exhaust has sound similar to Borla exhaust
I went to a shop today and they told me they can make one for my car for $350
For those who have custom exhaust:
Is $350 a good price for it?
Did you have any problem with your exhaust before?
If you have any suggestion or advice please let me know

Also I'm going to get a header and intake
I already chose the K&N intake but I have no idea about the header.
And I need to know good websites to order these things from.
Thanks,
best regards,
Kuwaity.

I have a custom 3" flowmaster 80 series made for a 90s camaro/firebird. sound angry and deep/throaty (just as nice as a borla imo). Paid 350 for parts, labor, and delivery. only problem with it is that because the piping is larger, it sits much lower to the ground than the stock exhaust/pipes. No problems with it, but I hold my breath every time i go up a steep incline or hit a big pothole. Only headers i've heard of are for the 2.5 and are available on Stillen.com. You can order the K&N typhoon intake thru them as well. Good luck!

I put a universal apexi exhuast on my car. Both the tips cost me $80 shipped then found a place to install them with 2.5 inch piping for $110. Mine is a nice sound. I havent recorded it though but it is a nice deep no cop magnet sound. Just take your time. I have no issues what so ever.

I did a custom set up with 2.5in piping and a resonator in the middle. Also I had 4 magnaflow tips also and the exhaust shop had to cut the bumper. They did everything for $400 even. So yeah 350 is a good price with some good tips.

I did 2.5" cat-back to a magnaflow muffler (transversal or what ever its called) and then out to 4 tips. I got the tips for free from my brother. the 2.5" cat-back was $100. the muffler installed was $160. Installing the tips was $40. so I paid $300 and I already had tips. So $350 is a pretty good deal. In case you were thinking about doing quad tips, here are some pics

Where did you get your work done? I couldnt find anyone by me to fab a custom exhaust for a good price so I ended up buying the Borla.

Link's in haledon. It's a small place (3 garage bays). The owner overnighted the muffler, paid for shipping himself and had me in the next day. He even gave me a ride home so I didn't have to sit and wait for the car. Real nice guy with real fair prices.
