Please Delete i am posting in the nissan mechanic forum.

So i was looking to buy an engine that is removed from the car. its a KA24DE

The plugs looked good and i ran a comp test using a starter and battery.

the results i got are below.. I realized after the fact that I forgot to open the throttle so i am sure they are low. How low will i read with a closed throttle? Also since the engine is cold i don't know how that effects the numbers?

#1 ~110#2 ~115#3 ~110#4 ~90

I added a touch of oil to the cylinders and retested

#1 ~140#2 ~143#3 ~140#4 ~120

The #4 cylinder is concerning me a bit but i don't know if its far enough down to be a problem? Plus since i had the throttle closed i don't know if these numbers can even be used at all?

what sort of numbers should i be looking for on a cold engine thats out of the car and been sitting for a month?

thanks for any help!
