I have an rb26dett in my skyline with series 1 coil packs and ignitor. My ignitor seems to be good but one coilpack keeps failing. I've already done the coil pack fix but it's spudded. So I was wondering as I've read a few places, will the coils from a 1997 nissan maxima work on it? And if so how do I re-pin it properly for my harness (if there's a guide that would be swell). Also can I run them on a stock ecu and tune? I know I can run ls1 or ls2 packs on stock cause of similar dwell, just wanna make sure. Any help or direction to a guide for this kind of a swap would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you swapped coil packs to make sure it isn't just the pack? You are sure its number 1 cyl.

Could be the wiring on it. Wiring Specialties makes a coil pack harness for a decent price. And its new.

Check plug as well.

I am not sure about the maxima coil pack thing tho. I hear LS coil swap is worth the ease of finding coils and runs well.

I bought the harness from Wiring Specialties. Its amazing. Just be sure to check if you have a 3-pin or 2-pin plug. I found out there are differences before I ordered thankfully. Chris helped me out there, knew exactly what I was talking about and took care of me without any type of hassle.

Here is a pic to clarify what clip I'm talking about.
