Hi I recently traded car for a 96 240 with a s13 blacktop sr swap. The prior owner gave me a new clutchmaster 6 puck disc with the car. I was curious if I can use my stock pressure plate with the disc. I'm on a budget at the moment so I'm trying to figure out the cheapest route to get the clutch in good shape. Any suggestions would be a big help.

Thanks

Possibility: Yes.
I don't know how well the clutch will work with a stock pressure plate. As in, is if it is gonna be much of a noticeable difference or if you are better saving up for aftermarket pressure plate and just holding on to that 6 puck til you can get the new plate

Thanks for the response. Like you mentioned I'm going to try and hold out until I get back to work and can afford the proper setup. Luckily its not my DD.

Thankfully. WAY to many make the mistake of trying to shoestring budget mod their dailys, and end up more often than not on the back of a rolloff truck haah.

TO answer your question it would work, but ultimatly not well. The pressure place would never be able to apply enough force to let the friction surface work as intended. It woudl work for daily driving and no abuse, but that's about it.
