Question about cam shaft

On my g coupe the check engine light came on and it read error code P0340 which has to do with the camshaft position sensors and i think i read somewhere that most '03 G models have a recall on that, is that correct??? And how do you fix the camshaft position sensor (CMP) when it has troubleshooting?? Any help is great!!

Go to the dealer, hopefully you are still under your factory warranty. It was a recall on the 2003 G's. It's located on the side of the Valve covers. Im pretty sure it should be on the sidewall side. Recall ID# 05V555000 - FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE

Recall Date: DEC 13, 2005

Model Affected: 2003 INFINITI G35

Summary: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE FUEL FILLER HOSE MAY CRACK AND RESULT IN FUEL LEAKAGE FROM THE HOSE WHILE REFUELING.

Consequence: FUEL LEAKAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FUEL FILLER HOSE. RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 27, 2006, FOR NISSAN OWNERS, AND ON MARCH 13, 2006, FOR INFINITI OWNERS. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261 OR INFINITI AT 1-800-662-6200.

i did went to the dealership and they looked up my vin number and said there wasnt a recall, I think they s***tin me

If you took it to the dealer and they said it does not have a recall. Then there is not a recall on it. They are required to tell you. Plus it would be stupid of them not to tell you. They get payed by the manufacturer to perform them. But some recalls to have experation dates.
