I bought a quaterpanel from another site 3 weeks ago. I sent him the money through paypal and reminded him weekly of it. He would always give me "i'll do it this weekend" excuse.

Well, he hasn't sent me **** and now he doesn't even get on that website anymore it seems. Next week would be week #4. I want to get my money back from paypal before its to late. What should i do?

If your still inside the first 30 days you should be able to get your money back. I would definately do it even if the guy is just procrastinating and is really gonna get you the product eventually.

You'll have a harder time if you sent the money via Bank Account, than credit card. If you did use a CC, file a dispute for the said charge with them directly. Paypal is pretty crappy when it comes to getting your money back.

It's super easy for crooks to fool paypal.

All they have to do is ship you SOMETHING. They could put poop in a box and ship it to you, and then Payal will see "item was shipped", and they'll say they can't help you.

lol.

The way I know this is because it happened to someone over at digitpress, a videogame collecting forum I frequent.

Guy paid $1300 for a limited edition RX-78 Gundam Dreamcast, brand new (which is actually a KILLER deal, why he jumped on it) to a guy in Hong Kong, who then proceeded to send him an empty box. Guy never got his $1300 back.

Since then, we've all been putting lists of who we deem to be GOOD, responsible businesspeople in our signatures over there. Someone gets mentioned often enough, you know they're reputable.

I just re-read the thread name, i think you mean shammed, not shamed.

Unless you feel ashamed somehow.

That sucks. I have yet to be ripped off. I guess its who you deal with. Some people get lucky and other get screwed by lazy people or scam artists. After 3 weeks I would start to worry. I had to wait 5 weeks for a door once but shipping was a pain, all turned out good in the end. Good Luck.

I emailed Greg and offered him a suggestion that we have a sticky on top of our sale forum to list the names of people that have done business and how it went just like many other forums.

I think a sticky like that should be implemented in a forum this big where hundreds of things are being sold.
