hello i'm new here and i'm soon going to be an owner of a ca18det 240 and i had a quick question, i was wondering if the american ca18de's air conditon and power steering system can fit directly onto the japanese Ca18det motor?

thanks in advance!

american CA18DE's are FWD so most likely not. 91-94 240sx use the same power steering setup as the CA18DET i believe..i have no idea about the A/C though, i got rid of mine.

SOHC AC lines and compessor work(with a 3 ribbed alternator belt instead of the stand 4 rib).

the KA24DE PS works from what I understand, search this has been covered a million times over.

ah thank you so much

sorry i did try to search, i searched "ca18det a/c" "ca18det air conditon" and "ca18det ac" but nothing came up

will the sohc ac compressor's bracket also fit onto the ca motor? and when you say SOHC are you refering to the ka24e? or the ca18et?

RWD CA18DET AC bracket + KA24E AC pump & lines + wiring = working AC

I also changed your thread title so that it makes searches later on down the road easier to find.

This hasn't been done too many times, so IDK how the wiring is gonna go.

you know how to wire a switch dont you? I got tired of fing with my harness hunting down a ghost so I just wired a switch in to kick the compressor on.

Did you check to see how many amps that thing pulls? That switch and wiring had better be up to the task of continuous duty at that load level.
