Question about air filter????

Ok, I have a 1991 240sx. It has a sr20det. It has the stock t25 at 14psi daily. I am hunting a air filter to replace the filter I have now. (just routine maintainence) The car has a cone filter as of now. It may be a universal type filter. I have heard horror stories about alot of filters. I have heard the paper dont hold up, I have heard the oilable filters will mess up the maf and etc. Which filter do you recommend? I was trying to get one locally. I dont want to have to order one! I want a filter that would give the best performance at the same time, prevent garbage getting through.Any suggestions?Thanks,
