I need some advice, since I don't know too much about this stuff:

I have a 2007 M35X, lowered on Espilir springs, which are made specifically for the X. I also have a megan exhaust.
While the car looks great and the handling's a bit tighter than stock, the exhaust scrapes the ground on steep inclines (like my driveway), and on other unusually inclined roads. I know if I went back to stock springs, the problem would be solved. But I like the lowered stance with the Espilir springs. So, is it possible to change to adjustable shocks to get about an inch back in ride height (rear only)?

With the espilir springs, the rear ride height is lower than the font, so I'm thinking an adjustable shock might counter that. Or is this flawed logic? And I'm guessing I'd need to change all the shocks, not just the rear? Then of course, this would be a pricey solution to a dumb problem. Just curious what my options are, and if anyone else has the same issues as me?

I have a similar issue. I have an 06 me with eibach lowering springs. I replaced the front struts with Monroe struts but I feel the ride is still too bouncy and not stiff enough for the lowered height. The bottom scrapes but only when the car is coming off of a bump when the strut and spring are being compressed. The problem I'm in finding is that no one makes an aftermarket strut with a stiffer setup. The next option would be a coilover setup. Let me know if you find after market struts or shocks.

if your M has over 75k miles it's time to get a new set of strut/shock, even if it's just oem.

Some say H-Tech in not enough of a drop while others say Eibachs are to low but why install them with bad strut/shock :gotme this would be a waste of time & money. I have seen M struts go bad as early as 30k miles.

By going with coilovers you can adjust them as you like or when ever you have a chance, low in the summer higher in the winter is the #1 reason.

Look for Megan Racing, D2 Racing & BC Racing which are the most used on the M's

You have to make sure and tell what ever company you call that your M is an X

My understanding is that they are all the same but the lower front mount, The X is different in only that way..

The AWD X has a lower wishbone mount for the front struts and they are shorter in height so the only option is to either buy OEM fronts and KYB rears. Before going down that route try a spring lift kit to give yourself a bit more height without going OEM height. http://www.grayston.biz/suspensionpage.htm
