I am quite the noob when it comes to cars but I love them so, my issue is. Wednesday I am going to look at '91 hatch with a '95 motor in it. Not much of an issue because being the same block they probably aren't too different. But I am looking at trying out a 248/232 cam setup so just enlighten me on that if you want or post links to very descriptive posts ( I have read a few and I get the jist of the process but I'm not 100%) also for aftermarket parts I was wondering if I would be going for the motor year or the body year and lastly are there any significant differences between the s13 and s14 versions of the KA aside from the cams and one being OBD II?

s14 ka has no butterflies in intake, internal coil, and no bolt behind #4 spark plug on top of valve cover. everything else is pretty much the same. 248/232 cam swap is easy, just search out one of the many threads in the search function. if it's a 95 motor, it's not obd2. i think that was everything.

Depends on when it was manufactured. My '95 was built in september of that year and has both OBD2 and the stupid timing chain tesnioner gaurd... :bang Not a big deal though.

Everything else you said was dead on...

So nothing I would have any issues with when messing around with it? If so, cool beans, thanks a bunch.

If you have an S14 KA, when you search for aftermarket parts, just look under there S14 section. That'll keep you safe. Body is obviously, S13.

Sounds like you would have a good combination on that cam set up - Make sure to post up and tell us how it feels when you do it!
