question about a e to de swap

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i was reading zerothread?id=162443

It says to use parts from a 1991-1993. Why cant i use a later motor and harness ect.. ?

By using parts newer than 91-93 you'd switch to OBDI or OBD2 depending on the motor. Its way more complicated than using a motor that came out of your car. I just swapped in a 92 ka24de and it was easy as pie. Just make it easy on yourself and get an s13 motor.

agreed, plus the s13 motor is a little more aggressive than the s14 motor. also while its out rebuild the motor
