Car: 1991 Infiniti Q45 completely stock without active suspension.

Is it possible to remove the a/c idler pulley and bracket and instead of replacing the the actual idler pulley, but to delete it. Measure the distance around the a/c pulley and crank then match it to a serpentine belt and run it without the idler pulley.

I don't see the point. And how do you adjust the belt tension?

I can not manage to pull the bracket off and the tensioner screw is stripped as well as seized. I tried tapping and extracting the bracket bolts to no success. The tensioner is too stripped to do anything without having to damage the bracket and pulley and being able to replace it without having to go to satan to order it in.The shorter belt would provide the right tension

Does it look like anything in the picture below? $57.44 to $59.31 part ?

Depending on MFR date, the parts are different.

No it's the bracket that the idler pulley bolts too. Well I'm going to try to do the pulley delete and I will post back if it worked or not.

It isn't gong to work because you will not be able to achieve nor maintain the correct tension for very long.

Why do you think it wasn't omitted at production if it wasn't needed?

I did it and so far its been running good actually even better than before. whenever I turned the a/c on the compressor would make noise and now its quiet.

So clearly the the compressor was not making noise, it was the idler pulley..

So you cannot remove the idler pulley from the bracket? How could it be that seized on? Did you try any PB blaster or some sort of penetrating lubricant?
