I was wondering what this is and if it can be moved up?

Gasoline vapor storage and hold until signaled to send to plenum for burning. Charcoal canister.90-96 Q had a round cylinder under air filter housing in engine comparment, newer models in rear to free up room.

Unfortunately the new design is more prone to failure since road muck, water and salt gets in side and affects control solenoids.

I was going to put another muffler over there but with that being there it would have to be mounted too low.

If you're just going for pure cosmetics of a dual exhaust, you can always take the SRT4 route:

Completely pointless from a functionality standpoint, but looks nice.

Nah, that's not what I'm going for, but I looked at it a little closer and its mounted to a metal frame. There isn't any room above it, but it might fit without moving it, although it would be a little lower than stock. Since Q45tech said it is a gas vapor holder would it be wise to put a hot exhaust next to it?

Also, the setup I'm doing is from H-pipe back. I'm replacing the H-pipe with an x-pipe, all Magnaflow parts. I'm planning on putting Magnaflow mufflers in place of the stock ones that are after the x-pipe, and the Magnaflow SS muffler w/ tips at the end. My two questions are would that be too quiet, and should I do cat-back?

Pretty clean looking Q...how's the interior look? With about $5k-$15k worth of aftermarket goodies....you will have one of the hottest Q's in VA.

Thanks. The interior is in nearly perfect condition except when I bought it the guy didn't have the floormats, so I picked some up from Walmart. Looking for Garson mats. The condition of my leather is better than any other 98's I've seen. I love the black on black (it bakes in the summer though).
