Does a '96 240sx se have crossovers for the front woofer and tweeter? and if so where are they? i've looked all around in there and i couldn't find anything. i was wondering if they just took the same wire thats hooked into the amp and split it to go to both speakers?

I looked in my chilton manual and it doesn't show anything on the SE.

I just put in some speakers and corssovers on my non SE. It says not to put the crossovers in the door. So I doubt they are in there.

Where are the amps on the SE? I would just follow the speaker wires from the speakers to the amp and then if there is a crossover you'll find it on the way.

If i remember correctly the crossover is bhind the plate for the tweeters, don't quote me on this, since its been forever. The crossovers are very very small. i hooked them up with my 6x5's and pioneer head unit, and they work fine! If there isn't a crossover on the plate, they really don't need them. I have had my setup for over a year, and nothing has blown and they sound great. Hope this helps, wish I coulda helped more.
