question about 95 240sx

there is some kind of sensor under the stock airbox in a 95 240sx. it says "unisia jecs" on it. does anyone know what this is? thanks

its probably the IAT sensor which is just an air temperature sensor, the only other thing connected to the air box is the mass air flow meter which is connected to the top

no its not that. it is a small metal box on the top side of the wheel well that is about 3/4" x 3". it is attached to a wiring harness with the sensor on the power steering line on the driver side framerail.

I bet its this thing, you have an automatic? I know this is on the driver wheel well, little silver box

thats it. what does it do? does it hook to the automatic transmission computer?

It apparently is what regulates the line pressure in the transmission, not sure if its just the pressure in the cooler line or some internal pressures or both.
