i just pulled my 93's wiring harness because it was all butcherd up. i got one form dsomeone else. the one i pulled had a white plu with padding around it inbetween ecu and firewall. the new harness does not. does this have anything to do woth the car im puting it into being an auto? any help would very much be appreciated. also during the 5spd swap what should i do with the green shiftlock box above the clutch pedal? thanks alot

Ok which harness did you replace?if its the E.G.I. harness ,identify the connector in the picture below. The E.G.I. harness is the one that feeds all the engine components and plugs into the ECM.
As far as the shift lock controller you can discard it. Make sure you fix your ignition switch to release the key when turning it off. There is a switch the keeps you from pulling the key out when its not in park and thats controled by that controller.

F5 is a diode for the Iacv. It was likely added at a later prodate. You should be able to run with out it, it was designed to prevent back feed into the IACV.
