I have searched and have not found an answer to my question. Why do you need to use the 300z ebrake assembly to do the rear brakes? The fronts are a pretty straight forward bolt on affair but why not the rear.

I also have another question pertaining to converting to s14 spindles. All I have to do is change the lower ball joint in order to use the s14 spindle on s13, right??

On the 240 the P brake was used via the caliper... So that said, you CAN bolt on the reras and theyll work youll just have no parking brake.....

to expand on what he said the 300zx uses the inside of the rotor hat as a drum for a separate parking brake...So when you remove the stock rear caliper you are removing the e-brake assembly as well, and you need a different set up for the 300zx brakes/rotor
