question about 240sx for sale regarding guy saying MAF SENSOR could be the prob.

Ok so this guy on craigslist is selling his 91 240sx swapped SR20DE for $1500 He's even saying he would take less...but his quote is

"Car runs but I believe it has a bad MAF sensor, as it will not rev past 3k RPM's."

I call STRAIT BULLs*** CUZ a MAF sensor is not that much to replace so wtf could it be?
