The dealership near me doesn't have a 6MT to test drive. Looking at pictures of the car, it would seem the center storage area is so large it would not provide much room for your right arm to shift. Is that true or just the angle of the photo I was looking at?

Also, I've always driven a MT. Is it worth it to find one in the 3.5 or am I just as well of with the CVT?

Thanks for your help.

6 speed MT FTW!!! And once you pick up your new A/C one of the first mods i would do is the racingline short shift kit, not sure if there will be any fitment issues with the new 2010 models *correct me if im wrong.

what you got to ask yourself is, what do you plan on doing with the car? If you plan to drive in traffic, around town, every once in a while floor the gas, then a CVT will be fine. I've actually beaten the times many 6mt drivers have posted with my CVT even when I was stock.

but if you plan on driving it hard all the time and racing it all the time and possible Turbo or supercharger upgrade, CVT can't take the abuse.... CVT does have a 10 year or 120,000 mile warranty so you dont have to worry about it messing up. but just remember there is no safe turbo, supercharger, or nitrous option for the CVT. if you want a 6mt, WAIT FOR A STICK! many people settled for CVT and have regretted it because of the lack of performance options.

I wont get into personal preference between MT/AT. What I can say is that I came from a '99 Civic Si with a 5MT. I'm now driving the 3.5 with a 6MT. The feel and layout is definitely different, but I didn't have a problem with it. I've never felt I've had a lack of room for shifting. Also, the center storage bin lid slides forward and back, so you can adjust the space to your liking. FWIW, I'm about 6' even (just to give an estimate of my wingspan).
