Question about 06 M35 Engine

Random question this is my first Infiniti and this question may have been asked before but doesn't the G35 and M35 have the exact same engine? How come the M35 don't sound like the G35 stock? I drove G35 before and when I got my M35 it didn't sound like the G35 that unique sound

VQ35DE = same engine in G35 & M35

G35 = sports coupe (different exhaust set up) -- different sound

M35 = Luxury sport sedan - refined exhaust for luxury/comfort

**you can always modify the M35 to sound more aggressive**

there are tons of Threads that discuss: exhaust, tuning, wheels, etc...just search and you will be well informed....
