Some of you know that I have been looking for an active "Q" however, I have recently run across a 91 "Q" with HICAS 4 wheel steering. My question; there were very few of these cars made period, who still knows how to work on them? secondly; how reliable is this system and do they require specialized equipment for wheel alignments? Any light that could be cast on this model is appreciated. Best Jazz!

Pretty reliable like all hydraulic systems with fluid kept fresh.

My choice would be a 1994 t model if you are a HICAS fan.

I was under the impression that in 94 the touring edition was not available with the HICAS suspension. am I wrong?

jazz- 94t was last of the HICAS. 95 you could still get active, but the t dropped the HICAS. 96 was the end of active as well (as the VVT).

Touring meant HICAS and the faster rack until 1995. The 1995 touring trim meant heated seats, rear spoiler, and factory installed CD player standard along with forged BBS wheels also standard on the 1994.
