Can someone take this picture and Label the Correct wire that hooks up?

I have my battery ran to the bolt in the back and my brown plug plugged up to the terminals. But Im not sure that the brown plug is correct, with the correct wires.

So can someone verify what hooks were. Thanks

Don't forget that you'll need to ground the rear of the alternator to the chassis too. It looks like it is plug and play.

I didn't ground mine. Could this be why im Overcharging? I figured it was grounded to the block?

I am not certain, but my KA and my RB both had the alternator housings groudned by a separate wire. Give it a shot because it can't hurt.

Does the battery light in the cluster turn on when it is unplugged? Here's the charging schematic from the 91-94 FSM:

Yeah ground wire needs to be hooked up to a screw that goes in the back of the ALT, its how its supposed to be....

Could be the over charging issue right there....

you need to ground the alternator using that screw. you also need that brown plug. one wire of the brown plug activates the light in the dash. the other wire controls the charging.

According to the schematic posted above the w/r wire goes to the cluster.

Found the wiring problem. I for got I used a plastic twist bung connector when wiring the alternator plug. Well turns out it wasn't getting connection. Re-wired and it works great now. car sets at 14.4 volts and is smooth again.

I Had a factory plug already. Just needed to install it. So it cleaned right up and seems to be fine now.
