Ok, I was in the junkyard, and I wanted a 110 amp alternator to put in my car.. I came across a 125 amp alternator thinking it was 110..

I pulled it, and actually matched it up to my RB20 alternator..

It looks like a close if not equal fit.. I will test fitment tomorrow, it looks like it will bolt straight up..

If it works, I will let everyone know the part number :-)

Well... It lines right up..

The bracket needs to be straight and not curved, and the bolt at the bottom needs to be longer..

Other than that.. lol!

So it will require some mods!

Ok everyone..

It bolts STRAIGHT UP.. except for a few things..

If you have notched your bracket for KA alternator, you will have to do a minor alteration to the bracket again..

These mods need to be done:-----------------------------1) Drill another hole in between the 2 mounting holes.. really close to the one on the end. (Needs to be done, otherwise belt would be HUGE.. closer you drill this to hole that mounts on bottom of bracket, the shorter the belt needs to be.. keep in mind if its too close you will need to chop the end off because it will come in contact with the water pump)

Use that 1 hole to bolt the bracket on the car at the water pump (use the lower of the 2 you would normally use)..

2) Drill a wider hole for the alternator bolt to go through the mounting holes (at bottom of alternator)...

3) A slightly longer bolt (.5 inch)

4) Longer belt needed

Use the STOCK RB20DET flanged spacer thingy that came with the motor...

Bolt it up and enjoy 125 amps :-)

Pictures to come tomorrow..

So, if youw ould rather drill 2 holes, buy a longer bolt and a longer belt instead of fabricating a bracket.. this is for you!
