Quarter panel window

Does anyone know if the quarter panel glass pops of or is there a special way of taking it off?

I have never removed it myself. From what I hear you need to have it done professionally. I also hear that you have to break it.

I have heard it is held on by a couple bolts and window weld (urethane). If you plan on attempting to remove it, get some strong wire cord, a heat gun, and a buddy with gloves.

I could always patch where the water is getting in but was planning on getting it painted

I would say, the best thing to do in your case would be:

1. use a razor and cut the sealant flush with the window from the outside
2. mask window
3. paint
4. re-seal window yourself

i actually did take the quarter panels off i was looking for the leak took apart the rest of the interior and it turns out it was leaking from the top part of the hatch where the wires go through lol but still perfect time to fix it and get it ready for paint

the weather stripping around the window is part of the whole thing if it gets damaged the window is unless u cant but the weather stripping with out the quarter glass and they dont make it anymore you couple probably get it from your local dealership but its going to cost an arm and leg.the hatches are know for leaking and if you have the stock rear spoiler they love to rust the hatch. i actually already put the quarter panel glass back on went on perfect no leaks now and painted the car looks damn good would post picks but no camera cant find it lol
