Hi,
Someone hit me from the side, is the damage on the quarter panel repairable?? Cost? Also the vehicle hit the rear wheel causing it to be bent slightly. Depending on what it is? Anyone know how much it would cost to replace axle or the arms. Thanks.

Hello parts car.

Lots of work involved to fix it, and sometimes its not worth it.

A insurance repair shop would charge in excess of 4,000 dollars to fix that.

I have QP damage not near that bad. Only deformed after the rear tire and my quote was 3,432.16 They said to fix it properly they would have to cut out the entire rear section of teh car and weld in a new one from a donor car. And that quote was for me supplying the parts... so ... yea. that's bad. Unibody ftl

Or you could go the cheap route and have it redneck repaired under the table if you can find a willing mechanic to do side work for you. Then it would cost only around a grand or so. And would look almost the same as it did before the accident but their would be subtleties to give it away still if you knew what to look for.

Choice is yours my friend.

dude, on the tire u can find the arm or link that got bent for cheap. look on the brake/suspension forum.

a body shop will only charge u that much ^^^^.. what he said b/c it a Insurance JOB, if u paying out of packet they shouldn't charge u no were close to that... just go to a shop thats legit n not out trying to screw people, but that can definitely be fixed, u can bang it out n bonded it out, that would be ur cheapest option it ur tryin to do it yourself or find someone that knows what they doing n cut out the cp an weld the new one on..

Well if they hit you why dont you bring it to a shop and let there insurance cover it?
But you would probably need to get a quarter panel and weld it in. By brother has his 1/4 smashed in just not as bad and all the shops said he would need a new 1/4 panel

Its probably a total. If you were hit then they are liable. I'd say take the cash and find another car. The quarter needs to be replaced and if its not something you've done before I wouldn't attempt it. Used quarters are no fun either, you have to drill out all the spot welds and be careful not to damage it taking it off the used clip. If you decide you want to do it anyway ask alot of questions before you start hacking it apart. It'll save you the hassle of having to repair your own mistakes. I work at a body shop and do quarters all the time. Its not bad if you have the right tools and know what you're doing otherwise it can be a mess and you'll end up with a job you're not happy with. Also beware of those that are willing to do it dirt cheap, you usually get what you pay for. If you got questions ask away.
