Quality paint job questions...

Ok so yeah I've got a red 240 that's starting to fade, clear coat is chipping off, all that kind of fun stuff. Just wanna know how much a color change to black should run me for a quality job on the entire exterior and jams, not under carpet or anything crazy, though I'd also like to know how much that would run...I've heard 1200-1500 for a good job, how about with the engine bay and trunk painted too, or is that considering those two options? Just curious I reallllllly want to get my car repainted soon, and black 240s just look GORGEOUS.

well if you want the engien bay painted you'll have to pull your motor and all that, so expect towing fees...what i plan on doing is rattle can painting my door jambs when i primer the car...just use some semi flat black in the door jambs and trunk area...but then again, that matches my interior

Hah good call =) I don't mind towing charges or pulling my engine, how much harder can it be than a big block chevy v8 out of a pissed off beast of a trans am?

You are craZy.are you running a drift car or a trailer queen? If drift car, go with cheap maaco paint, the $400 oil base kind (its a little better than the REAL cheap ****).

If trailer queen, go ahead but you need to gut the car completly to get the job you want at a good price. Make sure they do at least 5 coats to get a good shine with a wet sand.
