Going to get quad exhaust on the F50... $1100 sound like a reasonable deal. Quote is from STI motorsports.

Should I know or be aware of anything before I get this done. Will this void any kind of warranty?

as long as you do it cat back, you shoudl be home free... NO reason for them to get fussy as long as you dont tamper with the emission system.

I've always been curious of the way the exhaust is routed with that setup due to the spare tire well being offset to the right and the rear muffler to the left of it.

The F50 and Y34 chassis have some kind of weird flap valve setup in front or behind one of the resonators, but with this being a cat-back mod hopefully it won't cause any problems.

To me the price STI quoted doesn't sound bad, as I'm assuming they will be installing the updated bumper with the symmetrical cut outs for the quad tips.

Under the car pics of that setup would be very informative.

Yep, includes cut out and all. They have done this on many of cars inluding the F50 with the supercharger and said it will not cause any problems... but of course they will say this to get paid right? They let me know it will be loud though like that stock low growl GM sound.

So I ask them if they are doing it Cat back... and if not, a no go? Forgive my ignorance to issue because I'm a novice at this stuff

Basically thats what your going after.. however, if push comes to shove, the worst case is that they should only void the warranty or refuse warranty work on anything that you modified... So by doing this exhaust, they obviously wont warrant the exhaust, so even if you DID do a full manifold back system, it shouldnt really matter, but out in cali they may be more picky about that (damn tree huggers)

Overall the catback is what theyll be most likely making anyway

Wes be careful. He's in Cali and all things car & legal are different out there.

I'd ask STI straight out, what they'll be replacing and if they foresee any issues with warranty or "smog".
