Im planning on adding a T to my KA24DE this summer. I have larger injectors installed. Will installing my n60 MAF onto my engine before its tuned and turboed hurt my engine at all? I feel like i should install the MAF to match my larger injectors.

Any Ideas?

Wait so you are running larger injectors and you feel you should compensate by adding a larger maf? Please stop now. Put your stock injectors back on. You need a rom tune to compensate for both a new maf and larger injectors...you can't just throw them on and call it a day. What size injectors and how long have you been driving like this?

Did you read any of the KA-T stickies?

I installed Denso 440cc injectors last night. Car runs fine except for some jerking when the throttle is half open. Idles perfect and runs strong. Which sticky were you referring too? Ive read them all. The ecu's in our 240's are pretty smart and can learn quick. Why would it be a bad idea to install the MAF before my tune?

Yeah whats wrong with adding almost twice the amount of fuel as normal?

I hope your ka still runs when you get everything to turbo it!

Anytime you change your fuel or air flow rates you HAVE to get the ecu retuned. ECU's do not learn they are simple circuit boards and software programming. For something to "learn" it has to be alive.

yea, u should probly put ur stock injectors back in or do one of the many options out there for tuning ur ucu. i think it would be best to just go back to stock injectors and wait till u have everything for the turbo install. either way, its ur car not mine.

You can enjoy driving it extremely rich causing excess fuel to enter the crankcase, but don't come crying to us when you get rod knock or your engine seizes up.

Or you have horrible compression becuase your rings wont seal.

honestly, i wouldnt drive it at all til you get your stock injectors back in there. acquire all the parts you need and then install em all when you are ready to tune as well.
