Hello everyone,, My name is John and i have a question about tires,, i have the factory rims with the Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS 245/40R20 95V tires. i have read about drifting to 1 side or another, and experienced it,, over uneven surfaces but i have a beautiful ride on ,,smooth streets and pkwys my question is ,can anyone give me answers to whether you have experienced the same issue and if i can get recommended tires that you have used..

I've never run those tires so not sure about any reported problems.

I run Nitto Motivo's.

Tramlining. It's a side effect of low profile (stiff side wall) and wide tires. I always run wide tires and live with this behavior (not issue) when driving on roads that are grated or groved.

Yep, normal behaviour. Older M's do it as well. You get used to it lol. Some times do it more than others. I believe the Bridgestones are factory options and are one of the ones that tramline the most.

I hope to go with 275 35 20 on the next set. It'll probably make it worse lol.

It'll look cool though.

I'm experiencing the tram lining as I'm sure many of you have, and have also seen this in several online reviews.
Any of you swapped out the factory Bridgestone for a tire with better results?

I recently changed mine to CONTINENTAL EXTREME CONTACT DWS 06s and it seems to be better.

I replaced the Potenza RE97AS 245/40R20 that were on mine for Michelin pilot sport a/s3 in 275/35-20 and that made a huge improvement. 4 wheel alignment also helped. Not perfect but much much better.

Thanks! I plan to replace the Potenza's soon. Glad to hear a different tire will help.

Get rid of those Bridgestones they are horrible. I have Vogue Tires 245/40/20 No complaints Quiet ride grips the road well.
