I rebuilt my q70L 3 years ago and since then my drivers side mirror won't fold.. the passenger side fold with the button but the drivers side doesnt.. now over the years I've bought 4 to 5 mirrors and none have worked.. every other function works camera tilt while in reverse etc but power fold...is there a fuse somewhere that may have blew or something?

Hello, friend,

Check, but the fuse is on both sides. If one works, it's not the fuse.

You probably have a faulty mechanism or motor. Some companies repair them, or you can find used ones on eBay or AliExpress.

The folding motors aren't impossible to replace DIY, but they do require some specialized tools and knowledge:

If you can, move the mirror from the driver's side to the passenger's side. The connectors are identical. If it works, you know the mirror is good and the issue is with the wiring.

I had this issue too and sent it to a guy in TX via eBay who repaired it. Good as new.

EDIT: This is the eBay link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/352647317050

suggest you send 12v directly to the two pins to see it folds. check continuity of the door harness. check if you're getting 12v from the switch. maybe you have a bad switch or broken wire or wired it wrong.

I had this issue for the driver side of my 2012 m37x but I ended up replacing them with a pair from eBay. The original passenger mirror would fold but it was cracked and missing the bottom portion from the previous owner's son hitting a trash can. The ones I have now work but the driverside mirror is kind of loose so I need to figure out how to tighten it so that it doesn't rock back and forth. My original mirrors also were heated but the replacement ones don't seem to heat since fog/moisture will stay on them. I don't know if that was a feature to add or remove when new but my car came with "Heated pwr folding pwr mirrors w/memory -inc: reverse tilt-down". If you can replace the motor in yours then that should fix it. But as "Yoda's Master" mentioned, you may have to do some diagnostics on it to make sure you narrow don't the issue.

The heating element is built into the pane and there's a separate circuit and connectors for it in the mirror harness. If the new ones came without it then you're pretty much SOL unless you still have the old ones. If you do, you need to swap the panes and harness into the new assembly to get your heat back. Extracting the harness is a bitc# but it's doable, most of the process is the same as changing the folding motor:
