I want to replace my Q70's fixed bucket seats with seats with extendible thigh supports for long distance comfort. Did Infiniti ever make Q70 front seats like that, which can be found in the Q50, like in the photo?

The tracks and height on the Q70 seats look similar to the current gen Maxima ('16 up). I'm pretty sure the Max seats all have the thigh extension and they're definitely comfy. They should be a lot easier to find than anything Infiniti, so you might want to take some junkyard measurements and see if those will bolt up.

Thanks for the tip, VStar650CL! I'll look into that.

Would the seat plugs between the two cars match up?

Another thing to think about is if you have the bose speakers in your seats...you'd have to give those up..

Chances are they won't match 100%, but chances also are that the plugs are the same type and the changes needed won't be radical. I can look that up if the OP is really serious and the seats will fit mechanically.

Thanks for offering, VStar650CL. Please don't trouble yourself. I will definitely take measurements if I decide to take that route. Before then, I am looking into whether the existing lower cushion can be modified, either by stuffing a little extension, say about an inch long, or better, disassembling and remounting the cushion a bit further forward if drilling new holes is a possibility. The seats are not bad for regular driving, anyway. It's just long distance driving that would be nice to have less of a perched and more of a held sensation.
