I have a 2015 Q70 2.2 diesel in the UK and I noticed that when vehicle starts it raises quickly by a few cm and when engine turns off it again lowers and does this every time it starts of turns off. As it has auto start stop I noticed this quite a lot and was wondering why it does that as I do not recall the Q70 having any type of adaptive suspension. I cannot find anything online related to this and I am not even sure if it is suspension related or something else but was hoping someone on the forum would know.
.
My best guess would be when the engine is started its rotational force causes the engine to apply more force/weight to the left or right allowing the opposite side to raise slightly. But this is a complete guess.
I would love to see a video of a yardstick ('murca!

), or meterstick next to the front wheel wells when the car starts and shuts off.

I have a 2015 q70s and have noticed something similar as well. However it seems my rear raises slightly when put into reverse and then lowers when put into drive. Haven't put much thought into it though.
.
Normal RWD behavior. Car squats in Drive as load is applied to the drivetrain. Once released (Park, Neutral), or reversed, the load is removed and the rear raises back up. At a full stop, move the shifter back and forth between Drive and Neutral to see how extreme it is.
