I am always watching and reading comments just how fast someone’s car is , for me what is the truth about real world speeds and times. The basic fact is, The Q50 range as the 30ltr 3.5, 3.5 Hybrid, and the 3.7 red sports are relatively quick cars. They are no pro top fuel dragsters, or a bunch of 8 or 10 second cars, they are a luxury sedan road car with near M3 performance. In my opinion anyway, they have more than enough power, to deal with most road situations we would find ourselves in. Yes there is always something faster, but even many of them faster cars can come unstuck on the road, you may get away 0.5 secs before some M5 BMW type machines, and between lights or a short-ish run 2, or 300 meters you will probably have the jump on them, end result near neck and neck, more than respectable. Yes about 400 to 1000 mtr’s it would real you in and get in front; and maybe end up 2 or 3 car lengths in front, before we have to stop for some reason, and of course, your 1.5 to 2 secs behind, when you pull up next to them. On the road, its not a track, its almost near nothing, so what the big deal ? But of course if wish get off hitting 175 or 180 mph, yes it will leave you behind. But, On a many roads, your are playing with death. I used to run a 720BHP FD Mazda RX 7 mid 90s version, only once, I raced a Porsche 911 turbo at near 190mph, scary, cars doing 100mph came up like they are stood still. But if I am honest it was a crazy thing to do, but I done it, ONCE, enough for me anyway, but that’s another story.. My 365, 370 BHP Q50 for road use is more than enough to truck jump with relative ease; And at 70 or 80 mph it takes off like a rocket, if I wish.. What else do you need ?
