It seems like Infiniti is allowing their thieving dealers to show their true colors. My dealer has called me relentlessly and even offered to eat the last two payments on my G37X lease to get a Q50. So I take the bait and when it comes to price, they want FULL STICKER just because they can get it. I've purchased FIVE "G's" since 2003 and this is the customer loyalty they support. The Q50 is nice, but it's not that nice enough where I would ever pay full sticker! If they are not more reasonable when my lease is up in October, I'll get a Lexus IS 350F NS INFINITI can kiss my a**! :wtf2:

Dealerships exist to generate profit for the business owner and for no other reason. Consumer versus profit seeker is an adversarial relationship in which you have to battle for the best deal. Most recently, I purchased a Honda Civic and used the Costco buying program. Window sticker was a laughable $25000+, Costco pricing was $19,400. Order vehicle to spec to avoid BS dealer addons. Be well rested, patient and willing to walk to avoid them reaching for your wallet, having them shove it up your whazzoo so far up until you cough money.

Come on over to the Lexus side. :)

Really...My Lexus dealer sucked too. They knew I wanted the F-Sport and there were only 2 others within a 350 mile radius. They know when they have a customer that buys with their heart and not their head. :tisk:

I have always wondered about buying a vehicle through Costco. If I ever want a normal vehicle, I might try it.

yeah they jumping like voltures to sell the new Q50 which is only a visual upgrade as far as i can see. I came in for a service and the sales guy is talking up the Q50 while im waiting for my car to finish getting serviced.

I remeber i got my 2010 G37x with nav/prem/wood (in 1st quarter 2010) for the price of the base model because of customer loyalty, and was given their best interest rate at the time. I am very surprised you got treated that way. I say try another dealer before you write off infiniti.

That's why I go in and look for a reason to leave. If I can't "trust" a dealership to be honest they won't get my business....I also refuse to pay list.

You need to use the tricks of the trade...
1. Go at the end of the month
2. End of model year if you can wait
3. Do most of your negotiations over the internet/email
4. Have financing lined up, but be willing to use the dealer if it's a better deal.

The Q50 is a new brand all-together and Infiniti is trying to become higher up on the luxury scale.

Was in there a few days ago checking VPP prices (our company now gets) and was looking at the stricker price.
$1000 for leather package....I was like wth is this?!?! Yes, now they are offered with pleather and you have to pay for the real stuff.
Immediately thought of BMW.....so, does this mean that the reliability is going to start matching BMW's???
Didn't matter to me since I was interested in the ones with the REBATE...2013....and was curious about VPP pricing.

yeah man... i saw that too about having to "pay" for real leather now. WHY does Infiniti want to copy BMW, especially in that area??????? I always laughed at people who talked up BMW but they riding around in a expensive car that doesnt even come with leather standard. I think this is the wrong direction, as BMW quality and reliabilty has suffered since their latest generation of cutting standard features.

I was just having this conversation with a friend yesterday... i might of got my last infiniti in 2010 if this is the direction they headed of trying to be like the germans. have some pride Infiniti!!!!

if i wanted a german car i would of got a german car... smh.

2013 might be the last year for a "real" japanese infiniti product, 2014 and on Infiniti could just be a japanese Audi wannabe...

basically what hyundai did... copying lexus and Benz stlying...

Page 2 - Epilogue

Persistence paid once again! I was able to get $2k off MSRP, 1 yr synthetic oil changes, two lease payments on the 2010 gone etc. Because I've purchased 5 other G's they decided to deal. I selected a Malbec Black Q50 with Premium, Nav and Touring. It's going to take me a month to figure out all the technology. The ride and performance are much different that the G37X. Just picked it up today so need more time before a true opinion can be had.

Cool...curious to see how the steer-by-wire feels. Not enough power IMO...they need an IPL with some bite to bring me back.

I'm nearing my usual 3 year turn over point, but I'm not going to pay a ramped up price for nothing but cosmetic changes. I wish Subaru would put the 2.0 turbo and AWD in the BRZ.
