If you would, I'd like to talk to you outside the forum about the VH45 for a few minutes. If you have AIM, please reach me at Zbest1990, or email me at [email protected]

Sorry I had to do it this way, but your email is hidden in your profile.

Thanks!

Think you need to start by reading all of Q45tech's posts first. Including the following links. He is pretty busy at the moment, and I believe chatting on IM is not a hobby of his.

Reading the posts will take a few weeks, and may well answer your questions.

There is a reason for that, so that the information stays on the forum!

I have questions about his previous posts, I've been reading them all the time but am still too newbie to the VH to humiliate myself on the forum.

Thanks for the help guys.

A lot of us have absorbed his vast supply of knowledge and could probably answer your questions too.

No way he will do off forum stuff. He's posted many times. Oh wait there is, it's called a labor rate of 100+ per hour

Enjoy

Man if I would've known how friendly and encouraging this forum was I would've been here years earlier! Thanks guys!

Seriously, thanks for trying to help Jesda.

No question is too humiliating to ask. Believe me. I've asked them all. Including how to open the gas tank.

Don't worry! I have asked some pretty dumb questions in my time on this forum ... and still live to talk about it!

Just go for it!

Ahh what the hell. BTW 90Q45blue, your avatar is the same as my buddy icon, haha. Family Guy rules!

Anyway, copied and pasted from an email to Jesda:

My question for Q45tech had to do with the amount of hp a VH45 can hold. I'm a Z32 enthusiast, and I don't know if you've ever heard of 450zxtt/lost/A.X.E. Power, but he's this dude from Atlanta, GA who has been making a conversion kit to put a VH45 in a Z32 and twin turbo it. He claims to be running 550hp out of his current setup (stock internals) and has been doing so for about a year without any problems. Q45Tech mentioned in this previous post that doubling the power output would be the maximum practical power potential with ALL forged internals, however MANY other sources are saying that the Q motor is good for 1000rwhp or more and AXE is running 550hp with stock internals. Who do I believe?! Also, are you aware of any weight figures for the VH45? As you know, the problem that plagues the Z32 the most is its hefty weight, and I've heard from some sources that the VH is lighter than the VG, when others say the complete opposite. Thanks again!

EDIT: Oh, and this guy is running 720hp and shooting for 9's (see bottom of the page for pics of the complete car).

Stock internals? For longevity [120k] means only stretching 25-33% ~~375-400HP.

Somebody in Atlanta area had SunBelt Engines [the Nissan racing engine experts] build a turbo Q45 motor [new special custom rods, pistons, etc........think my friend [Balanced Performance] said the bill was $15,000 on top of a newish JDM motor plus installation.

If you have the money I know the folks who can accomplish almost anything. Want a Nascar motor for your Q give me a call........less than $25,000-$100,000 crated...........some not quite up to snuff versions available cheaper..........not sure how they would last in street duty.

How about a 454, 502 ProStock version.......NitroMethane Dragster units.

Lots of great builders in Atlanta/North Georgia.

This is all in the previous posts on this board. Have fun searching!
