Are there any additives that you can add to gas that will increase Horse power? I know there are additives to increase octane and clean the engine. I was just wondering.

Is methanol and/or alcohol more explosive than gas? If so, could you add either of these liquids to the gas to increase HP.

Are there any other liquids that are more explosive?

How about Nitro?

Q45Tech could you give me some input on the matter.

There are well discussed previous posts on this topic.

Alcohol has less energy than gasoline.

I don't think you would want to mess with nitroglycerine.

I am not Dennis but here it goes:Methanol and ethanol help octane rating but are bad for gaskets and injectors.Best stay away.

Nitrocompunds, well you can always install a nitrous set-up,a 100 shot works real well on a Q by all accounts.

Does anybody sell a kit to put nitrous on a 92 Q? I would probably stick with a 25-50HP shot. Don't want to go to high.

I think a100 shot is safe but smaller is safer of course..

Stillen sells a kit purpose made for the Q .It works well by most accounts.
